The Voice-Out Foundation is a Section 21 Non-Profit Organisation, which was established to empower local community youths and adults. It does this by providing effected parties with information relating to crime-facilitating factors affecting their lives on a daily basis, and in this way aids in crime prevention and community development
The Foundation’s mission is to aid in the prevention and limitation of crime, by establishing community-based/social crime prevention strategies, which focus on educating local communities and creating awareness about factors relating to:
- The illegal drug trade, drug use and abuse, and the crime effects of these activities.
Knowledge is power and by raising awareness in our community, we will help prevent criminal activities and limit the opportunities to develop such activities at a community-based level.
The Foundation acknowledges that education and awareness are two of the most valuable resources in empowering people in the fight against crime!
The Foundation will focus on raising funds, while at the same time promoting its vision. Funds raised will be used to implement and sustain community-based/social crime prevention programs. The Foundation will appoint volunteers throughout the local community, to assist with these projects.
The Foundation will initiate and participate in the following activities:
- Establishing information booths in public areas, local community neighbourhoods,
businesses, community centres and schools - Distributing booklets, flyers and posters
- Awareness campaigns and events’ organisation
- Public adverts and announcements
- Competitions/contests
- Youth Clubs
- Workshops
- Assisting with the implementation of social crime prevention programs in public areas,
local community neighbourhoods, businesses, community centres and schools
The Foundation comprises members who are passionate about the fight against crime. The Foundation and its members understand the devastating effects that crimes such as the illegal drug trade and drug abuse, have on an individual’s life and our society as a whole. The Foundation’s approach to effective social crime prevention, is to implement and maintain effectual programs that will run continually throughout the year. The Foundation’s groundwork is based on raising awareness within the local community, and to effectively build partnerships with all relevant parties.
The Foundation aims to assist in the development of a healthy and crime-free community, which has good and strong social values!
